before the providence of America.

We are at the epicentre of Ireland's

Scenic Southwest and with easy access to The Wild Atlantic Way,

we visit it regularly.

Our specialty is an exclusive yet relaxed, historical self-catering accommodation and extended-stay bed & breakfast experience

Glenlohane is a warm and inviting Georgian house and working farm with an air of friendly informality so unique to period Irish Country Houses.
We are the historic destination point from which to see Ireland's
Scenic Southwest and it's treasure trove of bounty. To this end,
and because of this, we have an incentivised 3-night minimum
stay.
If you are enamoured with history, quiet walks in nature,
lush gardens, animals, vintage farm machinery or even long chats
together over an Irish breakfast or
by the fire at night, you will be
in your element
- as will we! There are no public
road signs as we are not 'a room for the night'
type of B&B as there are no public and private
quarters
as in a professional place. Guests may
use
the facilities of the entire estate as if staying
with friends.

Of particular note, my Grandfather George made
the entire
farm a bird sanctuary over 1/2 century
ago to help save
countless numbers of birds
which were being decimated
by poachers.
My parents have continued in this
tradition
and have saved more cats, dogs, horses,

ponies, donkeys, birds and many people
over
the years, ourselves greatfully included.
We hope to see you, Angie & Gordon

Glenlohane was featured
alongside The Royal Mews
at Windsor, Chatsworth and
Badminton House.
As the key featured property
in perhaps the entire book,
this may have been because
my father gained
Rizzoli Publishers access to
Lord Beresford at Curraghmore.
Alas, he most kindly
acquiesced to
write the forward.
